Withdrawal of subscription and refunds

This section provides guidance on withdrawal of subscription.

If a member wishes to withdraw a subscription for a purchased product, the member can submit the product to be withdrawn, the purchase order for the product (for multi-level salespeople), and a transaction statement to the GLS Product Withdrawal (Returns) Department. Subscriptions cannot be withdrawn for products that have expired, have been damaged, or have been damaged due to the negligence of the purchaser, and only the purchaser can apply for the withdrawal of subscription. For the company to refund the price of products, etc. to a multi-level salesperson, the multi-level salesperson must reimburse the company for previously paid compensation, etc., and if the salesperson does not reimburse the company for previously paid compensation, etc., the company may deduct it.

  1. Consumers can withdraw their subscription within 14 days. However, a consumer must first seek to withdraw subscription to the company via the salesperson first and foremost, and if it is difficult to withdraw subscription via the salesperson due to reasons determined by the Presidential Decree, such as the salesperson's whereabouts being unknown, the consumer may withdraw subscription directly via the company (Article 17 on the Act on Door-to-Door Sales, Etc.)
  2. In the case of a multi-level salesperson, the subscription can be withdrawn within three months after purchase. (Article 24 of the Enforcement Decree)
  3. Cost deductions (Article 24 of the Enforcement Decree)
    1. In the case of return within 2 months after the supply date, 5% will be deducted from the price of the goods.
    2. In the case of return within 3 months after 2 months from the date of supply, 7% will be deducted from the price of the goods.
    3. Products whose supply date was more than three months prior may not be returned or refunded in accordance with Article 18 (2) of the Dispute Prevention Act and Article 26 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act.
  4. In the case of withdrawal of subscription for products purchased in cash, deposits will be processed three business days from the date the return is received. Products purchased with a credit card are processed according to the date set by the credit card company.
Obligation to prepare and store product purchase orders
All members of the company must issue a contract with the name/business name/address/phone number, etc. when selling products to a consumer in accordance with the Act on Door-to-Door Sales, Etc.
